Thankfully I had parents who are very financially responsible. They instilled their views in me, and I hope to pass on these skills to Alex. I would love to learn more about the "marshmallow experiment" I think that the findings are interesting, yet not surprising. Too many times I see children being over indulged and have no sense of "delayed gratification." Even in our music class the instructor teaches "delayed gratification" but not always allowing the first child who reaches for an instrument to have it right then.
